AT&T customer’s staying put despite loss of iPhone exclusivity

Now that the iPhone is available on Verizon and Sprint, AT&T should be really worried about customers leaving for other networks, right.  That was the prevailing thought when Apple signed a deal with Verizon over a year ago and again with Sprint a couple of months ago.

According to Glen Lurie, president of emerging devices for AT&T, the rate of subscriptions cancellations has not been affected by the new iPhone deals.  The opposite has actually occurred.  The iPhone 4S has been very successful and the AT&T has been able to hold onto their customers, despite the availability of the iPhone on competing carriers.
