Marvel had a really good day. Not only did the trailer for the Avengers movie take the interwebs by storm, now the Marvel Comics app for Android smartphones and tablets has been released! So comic book lovers can get their fix anytime!

Marvel is not releasing print and digital at the same time as DC, but the new Android app is step into the digital landscape. The app is a storefront, which allows you to browse, search, and purchase comics. A great feature of this app is that it will sync your purchases from the web store so you can keep reading wherever you are.

The comics reader itself is well made and pulls you through each book fluidly, without requiring much more than a tap on the screen. But, if you are enjoying your comic  reading on a phone, you may need to switch your phone’s orientation a lot depending on the formatting of the image. They switch from portrait and/or landscape, so it may be difficult to read the text.

So get the Marvel Comics app in the Android Market for free! There are also some free comics you can download to get an idea of how the app works. Drop us a line and tell us how you like it!
