A poll conducted by Evans Data Corp , to see which mobile platform was the most profitable for developers to write for. Surprisingly, the BlackBerry OS was named the best money making OS for developers. There were 400 commercial developers polled and it turned out that 13% of ‘Berry app developers make $100,000 or more from their creation! Evans Data says that the figure is “considerably more than Android or iOS developers”.

In the same report, Evans Data asked the same 400 developers about what their biggest complaint about app stores is.

• App Visibility was #1with 37.3% of the response
• The approval process was #2 with 26.9% of the votes
• The restrictions came in #3 with 22.9% of the votes

The developers were asked to pick which app store will be on top two years from now, 30.2% of the 400 developers selected the Android Market with Apple’s App Store a close second! BlackBerry App World came in seventh. Go Figure!!!
