RIM is shedding some light on some of their upcoming BlackBerry smartphones powered by the BlackBerry 7 operating system. In London today, RIM will be holding a press conference concerning the latest additions to the BlackBerry lineup. There is a second event in Toronto where lucky participants will receive BlackBerry OS 7-powered handsets.

The BlackBerry Torch 9810, also known as the Torch 2, or the Volt, as its alleged AT&Tversion is expected to be called. The device will remain pretty much unchanged on the outside, yet there will be more than a few improvements. To start off the perks, the device will have a 1.2GHz processor, 768 megabytes of RAM. Other goodies include a 3.2-inch VGA touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC and, of course, BlackBerry OS 7 to complete the package.
