Anonymous Letter from RIM executive to Senior Management Expresses loss of Confidence and Suggestions
The letter goes on to say that RIM needs to focus on the end user instead of “strategic alignment, partner requests or even legal advice.” The letter also addresses BlackBerry Apps bluntly saying, “RIM smartphone apps suck.” The employee suggests that RIM needs to establish relationships and court developers to return the smartphone maker to prominence.
Other advice that the executive gives in the letter focuses on marketing and employees. The executive believes that the BlackBerry marketing has been lazy and simply points out the differences between the BlackBerry PlayBook and the Apple iPad instead of creating demand for the tablet. The executive thinks the company needs to reach to employees to get solutions while not blindly following the media’s suggestions.
One final suggestion was to rename the company BlackBerry. Do you think these changes would be able change the downward trend that RIM is currently in? Let us know by leaving comments below.
