Smile Hacking Community, Microsoft just Hugged you!

Microsoft has made its relationship with the hacker community a bit cozier.  The software giant has given the OK for ChevronWP7 Labs to open soon.  ChevronWP7 Labs will have an approved Windows Phone unlocking service included. This will enable users to install homebrew apps on their handsets and essentially jailbreak WP7.

Microsoft’s relationship with the hacker community saw a big jump with the release of the Kinetic SDK a while back.  This is another step in the direction toward embracing hackers. The move follows smartphone manufactures like Motorola, Samsung, and HTC that are going to release phones with either unlocked bootloaders or bootloaders that are easily unlocked.
