Verizon’s competitors, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile, have all released smartphones that run Windows Phone 7 operating system in addition to their iOS and Android devices.  Verizon has lagged behind the group citing the need for additional testing.  This is going to change on May 26 when the HTC Trophy is available online for $149.99 with a $50 mail-in rebate and a new two-year customer agreement.   Additionally, if you purchase one by July 15, Verizon will give you a Xbox 360 console game with either Halo:Reach, Kinect Sports, or Lode Runner.

The Windows Phone 7 smartphone features apps for Xbox live mobile gaming and Microsoft Office.  It comes with a Qualcomm 1 GHz Snapdragon processer, 5-megapixel camera with auto-focus and 720p HD video recording, 16 GB storage, a 3.8-inch touch screen, and Wi-Fi connectivity (802.11 b/g/n).  The smartphone will run on Verizon’s 3G wireless network.
