Do you know that Apple is planning a surprise for their 10th anniversary of their Apple stores? Do you have any idea what that is all about?

Here it goes: the Apple stores will be modified, like Apple likes to call it, they will upgrade to version 2.0 by restructuring the retail environment, to center it all on the iPad, at least so the rumors say. As well Apple will emphasize the ability of the users to personalize their Apple devices.

Another reported improvement will be the dedicated in store payment solution for most of customer transactions, that will actually improve the cash flow. Funny how things go since up until not so long ago they used Microsoft powered solutions to handle their transactions. Now, it is true that things changed since the employees are using a modified iPod touch to handle those, but we believe that it was obvious since the beginning that this was going to be just a temporary solution.

The new app RetailMe is supposed to have a wider variety of tools for the employees and they are indeed supposed to receive a great deal of training with the iPad. Considering how successful the stores have been so far, we cannot but anticipate the success of the Apple Store 2.0 will be.
