Yahoo Launched an iPad Dedicated App for Yahoo Messenger

At last after this entire wait, Yahoo launched the optimized for iPad app version of its iOS application. If you already use Yahoo Messenger on your iPad, you should know that there will be no more need to use the scaled up version of the iPhone application. The optimized version is developed so it would take full advantage of the iPad’s bigger screen.

To top that, the iPad also supports voice and video calls, as well as low cost international calls to mobiles or landlines, all that you would need in such a case being a Yahoo! Voice Phone Out account. Free SMS is also on the list and the ability to share videos and photos in real time with other Yahoo Messenger users.

There is Windows Live Messenger support as well, allowing you to keep in touch with your friends that use the Microsoft IM client rather than Yahoo Messenger. The users are given the choice of using a dedicated Yahoo Messenger solution rather than using a solution that spans over different platforms.
