iOS Jailbreak for 4.3.3 With Pwnage Tool

The untethered jailbreak with PwnageTool is now available for Mac users as well. The PwnageTool 4.3.3 version is using i0n1c’s exploit to preserve baseband. The jailbreak is available for iPhone 4, 3GS, iPad 1^st Gen, iPod 4G/3G, and Apple TV. iPad 2 is not supported.

This method of jailbreaking is more suitable for Mac users because if you want to use the carrier unlock you must use PwnageTool 4.3.3 to update to a custom iOS 4.3.3 firmware, preserve baseband and then you can unlock with ultrasnow. This cannot be done with Redsnow for Mac. For Windows users, Snowbreeze 2.7 jailbreak comes in handy.

Part 1: Download all the necessary files.

Download 1: PwnageTool 4.3.3 for Mac OS X

Download 2: iOS 4.3.3 firmware for:

Part 2: How to create custom ipsw with PwnageTool step by step.

Start PwnageTool in “Expert mode” and select your device.

Browse for iOS 4.3.3 firmware.

Now select “Build” to start creating your custom 4.3.3 firmware ipsw file(For unlockers: if you want to preserve your old baseband to unlock with Ultrasnow, make sure you check “Activate the phone” option which is found under “General”)

Wait for PwnageTool to build the custom .ipsw file.

Follow the on screen instructions to enter in DFU mode.

Part 3: Flash your firmware in iTunes

Start iTunes (download if necessary here)

Select your device from the sidebar

Press and hold left “alt” button on Mac, or Left “Shift” button for Windows and click on “Restore” (Not “Update” or “Check for Update”) and release the button.

Wait until the process is complete and enjoy your jailbroken 4.3.3 iDevice

This option is just available for the following basebands: 01.59.00 / 04.26.08 / 05.11.07 / 05.12.01 / 05.13.04 / 06.15.00.
