It looks like the guys at Dev Team are still working to bring updates and fixes for the well known untethered jailbreak tool Redsnow for IOS 4.3.1 and to make it run smoothly. This last update is called Redsnow 0.9.6rc12 and it brings only small fixes, like the ones with the custom animated boot logo. Also if you’re not such a big fan of Redsnow 0.9.6rc12, you can use Snowbreeze 2.5.1 for Windows, which can also enable custom animated boot logos on your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

The tutorial with the steps for jailbreaking IOS 4.3.1 with Redsnow 0.9.6rc12 are exactly similar with Redsnow 0.9.6rc9. So all you need to do is download Redsnow 0.9.6rc12 from the links below and follow the step-by-step instructions posted here to jailbreak your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch on IOS 4.3.1.

 

If you already have your idevice jailbroken with Redsnow 0.9.6rc9, rc10 or rc11, all you have to do is run Redsnow 0.9.6rc12 and select Allow boot animation option and make sure to uncheck Install Cydia option to avoid package conflict with the current jailbreak.

Note: Unlockers stay away from Redsnow 0.9.6rc12! You can use Snowbreeze 2.5.1 or PwnageTool 4.3 instead.
