While it seems to be a bit difficult for third party developers to make an acceptable instant messaging application for Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7, it seems that IM+ is working on it, and their work is starting to pay off.

According to the IM+ Facebook page, a beta version might be available in April. We are not so sure about how that will work since the Windows Phone 7 Marketplace does not really have a beta-testing mode so far.

We believe that we will see a full release soon since IM+ has a good habit to be quite good at integrating instant messaging capabilities for a wide range of IM accounts that include: MSN Messenger, AOL, Google Talk, Yahoo, MySpace, Jabber, Facebook, ICQ, Skype, and Twitter. It will be nicer if we are to see some Live Tile and push notifications features as well, and who knows, perhaps this is the wakeup call for Microsoft to start providing better developer support.
