Witness Is The App That Turns Your Mac And iPhone Into Concealed Surveillance System

Witness is the new application developed for Mac and a mobile component iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. This app basically transforms your Mac into a home surveillance device, relying on the iSight camera to detect moves and upload video to a dedicated page or mobile Witness app.

The mobile app is available as a free download, but as would anybody expect from Apple, it won’t work unless it is paired with a Mac that has a registered version installed. The main advantage of this app is that it runs in the background, and starts broadcasting the live stream only when motion is detected.

We are not stating that Witness is a comprehensive surveillance system, not even by far, but I guess that it is fun to try and see the weird things that people do when they think that nobody is watching, and the price might be deemed acceptable considering that comprehensive surveillance systems cost a lot more, this little app might actually worth those 40$. What do you think?
