Redsnow 0.9.6rc9 for 4.3.1 untethered jailbreak was just released by Dev Team. This is a full untethered 4.3.1 jailbreak based on Stefan Esser’s exploit, and you won’t need to boot in a jailbroken state each time you reboot your iDevice, like you used to do with Snowbreeze 2.4.

Redsnow 0.9.6rc9 for 4.3.1 untethered jailbreak supported iDevices:

• iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS
• iPad
• iPod Touch 4G, iPod Touch 3G

Note: Unlockers stay away from Redsnow 0.9.6rc9 because this will upgrade your baseband thus making your iDevice impossible to unlock. You can use PwnageTool 4.3 for 4.3.1 or Snowbreeze 2.5 for 4.3.1 untethered jailbreak instead.

Follow the guide below to jailbreak your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch using Redsnow 0.9.6rc9 for 4.3.1 untethered jailbreak

1. Download iOS 4.3.1 from the download links given below
2. Restore your device to 4.3.1 using iTunes
3. Run Redsnow 0.9.6rc9 for 4.3.1 untethered jailbreak and point it to the previously downloaded 4.3.1 IPSW file
4. Check “Install Cydia” and any other option that you might like and then click on “Next”
5. Turn off your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch and connect it to your computer via USB, then click “Next”
6. Follow the on screen instructions to enter DFU mode
7. Once you enter DFU mode Redsnow 0.9.6rc9 for 4.3.1 untethered jailbreak will start automatically the jailbreak process.
8. Once Redsnow 0.9.6rc9 finishes, your iDevice will reboot and you will have a fully jailbroken 4.3.1 firmware running on it.
