The Wi-Fi only version of the BlackBerry PlayBook to be launched any day from now and we know that a 4G version is not that far behind. Sprint promised to deliver a WiMAX PlayBook, and apparently the timeframe of the launch is somewhere in the summertime. Around that moment, a software update is expected for the Wi-Fi version as well that is supposed to enable better enterprise management and standalone PIM apps without the use of Bridge.

The PlayBook is the RIM first made tablet and all things considered we believe it will be a sturdy device packing a dual core 1GHz TI OMAP 4430 processor, 1 GB of RAM, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and 3G. The QNX Neutrino-based OS will be able to handle multitasking and HD videos that should look great on the 7-inch display that will work on a 1024X600 pixel resolution. The cameras will be 5 megapixels (on the back) and 3 megapixels (on the front).
