A new version of Snowbreeze was released, entitled Snowbreeze 2.3b4, that adds support for Ultrasnow 1.2 to unlock iOS 4.3 on your iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 . Well, you can unlock iOS 4.3 on devices  with old basebands at this time, and I know this is a disappointment for many of you that have iPhone 4 new basebands. If you have iPhone 4 with any of the new basebands stay tuned because we’ll post an unlock iOS 4.3 tutorial as soon as Ultrasnow will be updated.

By following this Snowbreeze 2.3b4 tutorial, you will be able to unlock iOS 4.3 with Ultrasnow on the following device basebands:

  • 01.59.00
  • 04.26.08
  • 05.11.07
  • 05.12.01
  • 05.13.04
  • 06.15.00

If you have the following device basebands, this tutorial won’t help you unlock iOS 4.3, and you’ll need to wait for a new Ultrasnow update.

  • 02.10.04
  • 03.10.01
  • 04.10.01
  • 05.14.02
  • 05.15.04

However, if you own an iPhone 3GS, you can update its baseband to 06.15.00 ( iOS 4.2.1 ) and use Ultrasnow 1.2 to unlock iOS 4.3 on it. Be cautious if you do this, because you may lose your GPS. If you decide to upgrade your iPhone 3GS baseband to 06.15.00 in order to unlock iOS 4.3 you can follow this tutorial and then come back to this guide to proceed with the unlock with ultrasnow 1.2 ( part 2)

Snowbreeze 2.3b4 supports the following devices:

  • iPhone 3GS, 4
  • iPad
  • iPod Touch 3G, 4G

Follow the tutorial below to jailbreak and unlock iOS 4.3 on your iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4 using Snowbreeze 2.3b4 & Ultrasnow 1.2

Part 1: Jailbreaking with Snowbreeze 2.3b4

First you need to jailbreak your iPhone 4 or iPhone 3GS using Snowbreeze 2.3b4. In order to do that you can follow the tutorial posted here, but make sure that you download Snowbreeze 2.3b4 using the link at the end of this guide.

Part 2: Unlock iOS 4.3 with Ultrasnow 1.2

When the jailbreak process is complete, you can proceed with the unlock iOS 4.3. In order to do that, you can follow the tutorial below:

  1. Tap on Cydia
  2. Tap on Manage
  3. Tap on Sources
  4. Tap Edit and then Add. When the window pop’s out enter “http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com”  and then tap on Add Source
  5. Wait for Cydia to complete a series of automated steps and then search for Ultrasnow 1.2 and install it.
  6. Restart your iPhone 4 or iPhone 3GS and you’re done!

You have managed to successfully unlock iOS 4.3 on your iPhone 4 or iPhone 3GS.

If you are a Mac user you can also jailbreak your iDevice using PwnageTool, however, you cannot unlock iOS 4.3 yet, because only Snowbreeze 2.3b4 supports Ultrasnow 1.2 at this time.

Did you have a fresh 4.3 install before you installed the custom firmware? That usually helps avoiding errors and crashes like this one

there seems to exists a HUGE bug, that some phones actually are able to jailbreak and unlock, but they don't have 3G network, itunes cannot sync (session cannot be started) and the signal strength is terrible, so something is terrible wrong. i have the same problem and did not come across a solution yet.

Thx for the tutorial. I succefully update my iPhone 4 (4.2.1 with bb 3.10.01). However I thought this would also take care of the activation process (as it's still at&t locked) which it didn't. Sadly I'm still stuck on the "insert valid sim" screen. I tried iBooty 2.2 to see if maybe the an jailbroken boot would take care of the problem but although it seems iBooty could succesfully execute after the phone was put in DFU mode but it didn't boot my phone back up (also the screen didn't flicker as I saw in the tutorial movies). Does anyone has advice?
