Follow the simple guide below to root Android 2.2 2.1 with the Z4root tool.

Step 1: Download Z4Root file from Here.

Step 2: Connect your phone with your PC and copy the Z4Root file to your SD card just like you drag any music file or a picture to your device.

Step 3: Unmount the SD card from the PC and unplug your device.

Step 4: Go to menu>settings>applications and check the Unknown sources box. Then check USB debugging mode from the development settings.

Step 5: Enter in your file manager where you have copied the Z4root file , press it and choose Open App Manager.

Step 6: Press the install button.

Step 7: After the installation run the Z4root app from your app drawer. Select between Temporary and Permanent root at your choice and go.

    Hi ! Archos 70 IT, Android 2.2.1, Board version A70S-V6, Boot version 4.04.000000 . Follow the instructions, but No results. Maybe because I have firmware 2.1.8?

    Andrei, if possible, please describe the root- procedure. SuperOneClick downloaded what to do with apk-file?, USB-debug turned on, but after running SuperOneClick.exe-procedure ends "Waiting for device".........!-(((

      there is a comment in which i explain what do to when it says "Waiting for device" and read the article carefully to see how to install superoneclick.
