Jailbreak PlayStation 3 Firmware 3.55 via USB Stick | Tutorial
Geohot has finally released the jailbreak for PlayStation 3 firmware 3.55 and it doesn’t get any easier.
All you have to do is follow the tutorial below and of course own a USB stick.
This jailbreak works only for the new homebrew, and it will allow you to install custom packages on your PS3.
Follow the tutorial below to jailbreak PlayStation 3 [ PS3 ] 3.55 Firmware
Step 1: Connect a USB stick to your PC and create a folder on it called PS3
Step 2: Create another folder inside PS3 called UPDATE
Step 3: Download jailbreak.zip from “http://geohot.com/jailbreak.zip” ad unzip it to PS3UPDAT.PUP
Step 4: Put PS3UPDAT.PUP in your UPDATE folder and connect your USB stick to your PS3
Step 5: Go to Settings and choose System Update > Update via Storage Media
Step 6: You will be prompted with “Version 3.55-jb found”, click OK > Accept Conditions and Install Update
Step 7: Let the jailbreak work its magic and in a minute or so, and your PS3 will beep 4 times and then shut down.
Step 8: Power up your PlayStation 3 by using the CONSOLE BUTTON and not the remote.
You have successfully jailbroken your PlayStation 3 PS3 Firmware 3.55 and you can now install Custom packages by following the tutorial here.
