Sling Media has recently announced that the popular mobile app SlingPlayer will now be available for Windows Phone 7 gadgets. This app will allow Windows Phone 7-users to stream live TV via 3G or Wi-Fi from a home television. To accomplish this Sling Media uses Slingbox, a hardware component, which captures signals from your cable or satellite box and the content is brought to you on the Internet by using a private stream. Another thing you can do with the Slingbox is to stream content recorded with a DVR.

From now on all Windows Phone 7 users while connected to Slingbox Solo or Slingbox Pro HD could easily watch TV at home on a variety of handsets and anywhere with a 3G or Wi-Fi connection you could change channels, control DVR’s or watch your favorite shows.

John Paul, vice president of Products at Sling Media said in a press release: The big story about SlingPlayer Mobile on Windows Phone 7 is the quality of the user experience. From the fully revamped user interface to the clear, sharp video images, customers are going to thoroughly enjoy watching TV on their Windows Phone 7 handsets.

SlingPlayer Mobile will be available for Windows Phone 7 in US ($29,99), UK (£22.99), Europe (€21.10) and Canada (31,99 Canadian $), you can download the app from the Windows Marketplace on any Windows Phone 7 device.
